On Thursday, March 3rd, as part of the program UNIRI for the Cres Community, we were joined by Robert Mijalić, senior art associate from the Academy of Applied Arts, University of Rijeka. Mijalić gave a lecture at the Moise Palace on the  “Restoration of stained glass in the Cathedral of St. James in Šibenik”.

Robert Mijalić’s lecture presented various approaches during the restoration of stained glass. He spoke about his work at the Cathedral of St. James, 2020/2021, where he was the head of the stained glass restoration project. He described, in detail, the restoration process of the stained glass in the dome and on the entrance rosette. The restoration was made in workshops attended by students and professors of the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka.
