ISLAND CONNECT is a collaborative project that includes performing arts organizations and residencies on islands across Europe. The residency lasts two weeks and finishes with a work-in-progress presentation. A part of this project is also a residence on the island of Cres, Moise Palace. On October 1, 2021. within the project, there was a presentation of participants’ works in the palace.

Irish contemporary circus artists Christopher McAuley and Emmen Jude provided an insight into a performance fragment of the developing circus theatre project BOYS, LIKE US. BOYS, LIKE US, explores issues and multilayered attitudes towards masculinity and otherness. Members of the contemporary theatre teatreBLAU, artistic-research trio Estela Moron, Charlotte Heyse, and Santiago Stanković, presented visual and video segments of the developing theatre project WAR ON WATER. It was shaped by two-week research and the impression of the work on the island of Cres. The presentations were followed by a conversation with the artists.
