Workshop on Social Research in Societies in Transition

On 13th and 14th June 2022, researchers from Centre for Organisational and Human Resources Research (Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana), Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory (University of Belgrade) and Center for Advanced Studies South East Europe (University of Rijeka) met to exchange on their ongoing projects, find areas of overlap and shared focus, and establish and develop research connections. The key shared themes of research and further potential overlap included the issues related to political and economic de-democratization, the social impact of research, organizational culture in institutional and political systems, digital society, and the development of unions under the conditions of platform capitalism and globalized labor market. The workshop closed with sketching future plans for co-organization of a regular event as well as a set of specific research collaborations.
