On Thursday, March 10th, as part of the program UNIRI for the Cres Community, we were joined by Darija Zmak Kunić, professor at the Academy of Applied Arts, University of Rijeka. Zmak Kunić gave a lecture at the Moise Palace on the topic: “Artists Who Use Intuition and Restore Women’s Identity in Art”.

The lecture examined the role, position, and contribution of women in contemporary visual art and in our everyday life, as well as the readiness of women to experiment and promote artistic creativity during the state of emergency in society. It also addressed the question: How, in today’s complex and challenging living conditions, does female artistic creation offer ideas and healing?
