The Centre for Institutional Analysis, Goldsmiths, Department of Visual Cultures
Center for Advanced Studies Southeast Europe

August 18- 22, 2023 – Moise Palace, Cres

The theory and practice of institutional analysis have been somewhat rediscovered thanks to recent publications examining notable practitioners like Frantz Fanon, Francoise Tosquelles, and Felix Guattari. The Centre for Institutional Analysis, based at Goldsmiths, Department of Visual Cultures, is a newly established center committed to re-activating and extending such an approach across a number of settings. This first transdisciplinary gathering, organized in collaboration with CAS SEE, will bring together researchers focusing on reflective organizational practice, alternative forms of mental health care, French institutional psychotherapy, and Italian de-institutionalization, as well as practitioners investigating how art responds to and transforms the institutional context it is situated within.
