Europe’s Futures” is a partnership initiative of the IWM and ERSTE Foundation that supports established scholars, public intellectuals, and other professionals in public discourse interventions with novel concepts and policy recommendations on pivotal challenges to democracy and rule of law in Europe. It is the project’s concluding event of the academic year that is traditionally organized in cooperation with the Center for Advanced Studies Southeast Europe of University in Rijeka. The 2024 edition will take place at Moise Palace with eight Europe’s Futures Fellows of the 2023/24 cohort presenting findings from their work to a gathering of alumni network members and project partners.

UNIRI The Moise Palace: Cres Island

An education center of the University of Rijeka. A five-hundred-year-old patrician townhouse and the largest Renaissance palace on the Croatian islands. A venue and forum for various scientific and research activities, it welcomes visiting academics, students and scholars.
