The European Face of Political Epistemology 2.0
8-11 July 2024

For the second consecutive year, the conference “The European Face of Political Epistemology 2.0” brought together around twenty philosophers, political scientists, sociologists, and other scholars in the beautiful Renaissance Moise Palace in Cres. In a stimulating academic atmosphere, they discussed contemporary topics in political epistemology, ranging from trust in experts and institutions to the cognitive value of democracy and epistemic injustice. Alongside invited speakers, including Miranda Fricker, Jennifer Lackey, Michel Croce, and Lisa Herzog, numerous future collaborations were agreed upon. After the conference, a doctoral workshop was held with Miranda Fricker, where doctoral candidates from the postgraduate program “Philosophy and Contemporaneity” presented their papers and received valuable feedback.
