The 11th session of the Writer and Citizen series (“Pisac i građanin”) will hoast writer and activist Igor Štiks. Discussion led by Željka Horvat Čeč will be held on Saturday, May 28, at the book cafe Dnevni boravak (Ciottina 12A) in Rijeka. This talk will question the position of a citizen and what happens when this position shifts in that of a foreigner or even that of an enemy. In a casual discussion we will try to bring closer together the positions and terms of being a citizen and a writer, among others, also referring to a book by Igor Štiks entitled Nations and Citizens in Yugoslavia and the Post-Yugoslav States – One Hundred Years of Citizenship, published in 2015.
