During the summer months, the Moise Palace continued to carry out educational activities and provide new facilities for its citizens and visitors. During July and August, the Ministry of Science and Education together with the Society Our Children Sisak had organized a cycle of educational workshops entitled “Interactive Platform and Prevention of Violence”.
On July 7th, Armin Hadžić, a psychologist, held a lecture dealing with “Stress, Burnout, and Health of Educators and Professional Associates in Preschool Education”. During the practical anti-stress workshop which lasted for two hours, the educators and professional associates expressed an increased risk of burnout at work in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the first part of the lecture, the participants were introduced to contemporary, holistic theories of stress and coping with stress, as well as new research in the field of psychoneuroimmunology and psychoneuroendocrinology. In the second, practical part of the lecture, the participants practiced relaxation techniques in experiential ways.
The intriguing topic “Why Children Are Different Today – A Challenge for Educators, Professionals, and Parents” was held by prof. Hadzić on August 24th. The emphasis here was on the challenges and the risks posed by the digital era from the aspect of neuropsychology and the development of psychopathology in preschool children.
The Society Our Children Sisak and Girice kindergarten continue their cooperation in the field of application of the Play Attention Program for children (attention assurance system based on edufeedback® technology created by combining brain impulse scanning, cognitive exercises, and behavioral shaping techniques) which will be led by experts in the field.
