Dražen Brščić received his Dr.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from The University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2008. He spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at TU Munich, Germany, and five years at the ATR institute in Kyoto, Japan. From 2017 to 2019, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Rijeka, Croatia. He is currently an Associate Professor at Kyoto University in Japan.
On Thursday, July 21st at 12 PM (CET), we hosted the CAS SEE Seminar with Dražen Brščić on the topic “Towards social robots working in public”, presented by our Fellow Tom Furlanis.
The talk discussed the challenges of bringing robots, particularly socially interactive robots, into everyday human environments. The presenter introduced some of the past works he and his colleagues have been doing, focusing on observing and modeling human behavior and the social interaction between robots and humans in public spaces.
