UNIRI & YUFE Minor in Political Transformations at UniRi (30 ECTS)

War, migration, disinformation, climate collapse, democratic erosion, economic inequality—the list goes on. We’re not just living through a moment of political change. We’re experiencing a full-blown transformation of how power is distributed, how policies are made, and how societies hold together—or fall apart. What does it mean to be politically aware in this environment? What does it take to act—responsibly, ethically, and effectively?

The new minor in Political Transformations offers a rare chance to step into this conversation—not just as an observer, but as a future practitioner, policymaker, or engaged citizen. This Minor is built for students who want to understand how the political world is shifting—and how to shape what comes next. This minor investigates how political systems, governance structures, and policy processes are being reshaped by intertwined global challenges. Students will gain theoretical and practical skills to critically engage with key developments at national, regional (Southeast Europe), and global levels.
