Applications are now open for two new minors at the University of Rijeka: Work and Wellbeing and Political Transformations.

Artificial intelligence and climate change are contemporary challenges that are transforming the way we work and live. The Work and Wellbeing Minor program provides students with the knowledge and creative skills needed to think critically about these changes and to design work and wellbeing practices aimed at creating a fairer future.

The program is intended for:

Students of the YUFE program and Erasmus+ exchange, as well as students of the University of Rijeka who wish to acquire knowledge complementary to their chosen qualifications.
Professionals already engaged in the fields of human resources, NGOs, education, trade unions, or public policy who wish to gain a deeper understanding of how work and wellbeing are intertwined today, and how new technologies and artificial intelligence are influencing the labor market both generally and across specific sectors.

War, migration, disinformation, climate collapse, and democratic erosion are reshaping how power works and how societies function. The Political Transformations Minor explores these shifts, examining how political systems, governance, and policy processes adapt to global challenges.

Students will develop critical and practical skills to understand and engage with political change at national, regional (Southeast European), and global levels, preparing to act responsibly and effectively in a rapidly transforming world.

The program is intended for:

Students of the YUFE program, Erasmus+ exchange, and the University of Rijeka who wish to complement their studies with a deeper understanding of contemporary political shifts.
Professionals from NGOs, public administration, media, education, or policy sectors who want to critically explore how global challenges reshape governance, democracy, and political participation.
