 Description:

This essay examines digital games as spaces in which young people express political views, organize solidarity and imagine democratic alternatives. Focusing on platforms such as Roblox and Minecraft, it discusses virtual protests, memorials and civic experimentation connected to Palestine, student mobilization in Serbia and other international cases. The essay argues that gaming environments can support political expression, collective memory, procedural learning and digital civic skills, while remaining shaped by corporate moderation, unequal access and limited research. It recommends participatory research, privacy-protecting platform data access and the integration of game-based civic literacy into education.
