Political Transformations – Rethinking Power, Governance & Democracy

The minor in Political Transformations investigates how political systems and power structures transform in response to challenges such as climate collapse, corruption, disinformation, and inequality. In a moment of intense political change, we study how power is distributed, how policies are made, and how societies transform.

The programme offers a chance to step into this conversation, not just as an observer, but as a future practitioner, policymaker, or engaged citizen. You will have the opportunity to study concepts, processes, practices, and policies through which political transformations unfold. This Minor is built for students who want to understand how the political world is shifting—and how to shape what comes next.

The minor investigates how political systems, governance structures, and policy processes are being reshaped by intertwined global challenges. Students will gain theoretical and practical skills to critically engage with key developments at national, regional (Southeast Europe), and global levels.
