Dr Selma Porobić from the Centre for Advanced Studies Southeast Europe and Daria Glavan Šćulac from the University of Rijeka Rectorate participated on behalf of UNIRI in the round table “Sinergija različitosti – migracijske politike u gradu Rijeci”, held at the Rijeka City Library within the SINERGY project.

The event brought together local and regional stakeholders to discuss migration, integration and social inclusion and to strengthen cooperation between public institutions, civil society and academia. Dr Porobić contributed expertise from migration and refugee studies, with particular attention to refugee and migrant protection, integration, and the role of higher education in advancing inclusive approaches and migrant rights.

The participation also provided an opportunity to connect CAS SEE’s migration research and expertise with local actors and emerging initiatives in Rijeka.
