Fellows at the “Cultures in Translation” Conference in Belgrade

CAS SEE Fellows have participated in the international Conference Cultures in Translation: a Paradigm for Europe / Culture in traduzione: un paradigmna per l’Europa / Kulture u prevodu: paradigma za Evropu, which took place 18-19 October 2017 at the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade.

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

Following a fruitful exchange of expert’s theoretical shares and experiences in the complex world of translations, Olimpia Giuliana Loddo, a current CAS SEE fellow, presented her work in progress entitled Translating written norms into normative pictures (in English), with participation of Đurđa Trajković (IFDT), Michael Oustinoff (Literary critic and theorist of translation, professor at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis) and moderation of fellow colleague Carlo Burelli within the panel Translation, Interculturality and European Identity. Davide Pala moderated the following panel on Actuality of Translation – Translation as Activity, closing the two-day debate with presentations of Gojko Božović (Arhipelag, Belgrade), Mirna Zelić Pokaz (Head of Croatian Language Department, DGT EC) and Antje Contius (S.
